The Friends of the Topeka Zoo (FOTZ) is a non-profit corporation organized under the laws of the State of Kansas to carry out exclusively charitable, educational, and literary work in the community for developing and improving the Topeka Zoological Park. Established in 1964, FOTZ serves as the support arm to the Topeka Zoo annually funding education, conservation, exhibit enhancement, special events, and promotion of the zoo.
Celebrating 45 years in 2009, Friends of the Topeka Zoo proudly serves nearly 5,000 membership households. It is through those membership dollars and special events that we are able to fund our mission.
