Start your adventure in our wonderful Zoo and join in the challenge to preserve rare and endangered species while enjoying the best family place in Topeka.

As you enter the Zoo your passport to adventure will take you on a journey to innovative animal exhibits such as Discovering Apes, the Tropical Rain Forest, Lion's Pride, Security Benefit's Children's Zoo and Hill's Black Bear Woods. The Zoo is your passport to discovering new and exciting worlds of adventure offering a wide variety of exotic animals for education and enjoyment. Review the benefits of membership in Friends of the Topeka Zoo (FOTZ) and you will see that now more that ever, becoming a members is a great bargain for education and entertainment.

There are lots of ways to support FOTZ and membership is only one of them. You can also leave your permanent mark on the zoo by purchasing engraved bricks, benches or by adopting a zoo animal or becoming a zoo volunteer.

MISSION STATEMENT

Friends of the Topeka Zoo is a non-profit membership organization dedicated to the improvement and development of the Topeka Zoo. Its key purposes are:

  • Education - Serve as an educational resource for our public and members.
  • Promotion - Promote and market both the Zoo and Friends of the Topeka Zoo in order to achieve common goals.
  • Conservation - Encourage and promote conservation of endangered species.
  • Programs - Sponsor special events and activities to support educational and promotional goals.
  • Fundraising - Provide fundraising mechanisms to allow Friends of the Topeka Zoo and the Zoo to continue to be valuable assets to the community.
