Animal ABC (ages 3-4)
From aardvarks to zebras, there are animals that start with every letter of the alphabet! Join us on an exciting journey through the "animal ABCs"!

An Alphabet of Animals (ages 5-6)
Apple snails, jaguars, quaggas, and zebu are just a few of the "alphabet animals" out there! Help us spell our way through the animal alphabet!

Q is for Quoll? (ages 7-9)
What’s a quoll you might ask? Join us in this week long look into the wide world of weird animals as we make our way alphabetically through animals found on all the world’s continents!

How’s It Hangin’? (ages 5-6)
Do monkeys really spend their entire day swinging in the trees? Do gorillas really love bananas? We’ll answer these questions and more about monkeys, apes, and lemurs as we "monkey around" in this week long look into the world of primates.

The animals at the zoo love snack time almost as much as we do! This week long adventure into the world of zoo food will teach us more about what animals at the zoo eat and what they love to snack on!

A Pickle A Day … (ages 5-6)
Who at the zoo hates pickles? Our zoo’s "chef" will help us learn more about some of the animal’s favorite foods as well as what they eat each day. Bring your appetites and we might even get to taste test some of his creations!

Food Fight! (ages 7-9)
Our zoo’s chef works hard every day to keep our hungry animals healthy and happy. Join us on a week long look into the tasty world of animal food. We’ll learn about enrichment and even take a turn at the food bowl ourselves!

Savannah Safari (ages 5-6)
Many different species call Africa home. Journey with us across the Atlantic Ocean to visit the second largest continent in the world and learn more about the unique and unusual plants and animals that live here!

What do peacocks, tigers, orangutans, and Komodo dragons have in common? They can all be found in Asia! We’ll island hop around this continent and learn more about the wild and wonderful tropical animals found there!

Tahiti Treasures (ages 7-9)
Indonesia is made up of over 17,000 islands and each one is home to animals found nowhere else on Earth. Our tropical vacation will take us to just a few of these islands as we learn more about these tropical treasures!

Tiny Treehuggers (ages 5-6)
Plants are some of the most important living things on the planet! We will explore the green world of plants and we will plant some of our own while learning more about how animals need plants to survive.

The world is full of plants of all sizes, shapes, and colors and animals depend on them for every part of their lives. We’ll spend a week walking through the zoo’s forest and learning more about our friendly neighborhood plants.

Fantastic Frogs (ages 3-4)
Frogs come in all shapes, sizes, and colors! Join in our amphibian adventure as we search for the tiniest newts and the largest toads while learning what makes these animals so special!

Wet ‘n Wild! (ages 5-6)
Why are frogs "slimy"? Can newts lose their tails? We’ll explore the world of amphibians in this week long session highlighting the wonderful world of frogs, toads, and other amphibians around the world.

Slimy Sensations (ages 7-9)
Did you know that 2008 is the "Year of the Frog"? We’re celebrating this event all year and spending an entire week taking a closer look at the world of the elusive amphibians. We’ll even learn more about amphibians called caecilian and why they look so unusual.

Dragon Tales (ages 5-6)
Stories and legends are filled with mythological animals from dragons to griffins and unicorns! We will spend a week looking into our favorite myths and legends from around the world as we begin our own dragon quest!

It’s a Myth-tery (ages 7-9)
Animals are found in myths from around the globe and play every part in the legends from tricksters to heroes. We will spend a week learning more about all of our favorite mythological creatures and why they were chosen.

Pooper Scoopers (ages 3-4)
Everybody poops … even animals! We’ll spend a week taking a closer look at animal poo and what we can learn from it about the animals that left it!

The Poop Patrol (ages 5-6)
Where does all the poo from the zoo go and what do they do with it? Animal poo is useful for a variety of purposes from helping gardens grow to keeping the planet clean. Take a smelly journey with us through the wide world of animal excrement!

Who Dung It? (ages 7-9)
Are you a poop sleuth? We’ll spend a week learning all about animal poop and no nose holding is allowed as we learn how to identify poo and learn more about how scientists use it to learn more about an animal’s habitat, diet, and so much more!

Registration forms are also available at www.topeka.org/zoo (please note: payment must also be received before your slot can be held - the online registration form does not allow online payment so you must either send payment via regular mail, drop it off at the front gate, or phone in with payment)

An electronic version can be sent to you via e-mail by contacting the Topeka Zoo Education Department at KHayden@topeka.org or a form may be faxed to you.

Pick up a registration form at the entry gate to the zoo. Complete the form, including payment, and hand it to an admission's clerk at the zoo's entry gate.

All registrations must be received by the Topeka Zoo Education Department with payment in order for your spot to be held.

Refunds are only given if the class is full at the time of registration or if the Topeka Zoo Education Department cancels a program.

Education programs will be cancelled if a minimum of five participants is not met five days before the scheduled class time.
